Writer of Historical Fiction with Romantic Elements. After working as a designer in both the Theater and on Seventh Avenue, I now teach Fashion History on the college level. This augments my passion for the history and the people of Sixteenth Century Florence. I am a member of the Costume Society of America, the Sixteenth Century Society, the Society for Renaissance Studies, the Historical Novel Society, Romance Writers of America, the Romance Writers of Long Island and New Jersey, and the “Elements” RWA chapter, which specializes in non-traditional romance. I also belong to PennWriters and the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). I am an assistant editor of the Compleat Anachronist, a publication for the members of the SCA. I also review new fiction for the Historical Novel Society. MA and BA in Theater/ Costume, MA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University (June 2008 graduate). In January 2008 I had a one-woman costume show in New York City.

School's out for summer!

I am doin' the happy dance. I just had my final faculty meeting for the term and I am out for almost a month. This has been a trying Quarter and I am SO done. Toasted lightly on both sides.

Of course, during that month, I am driving to Pittsburgh (actually Greensburg) for the final Residency for my MA in Writing Popular Fiction at Seton Hill University. Of course I have tons of prep work to do before I depart, but I am a happy woman.

Now on to my next big challenge.
